The Mechanic Shop Network Infrastructure Setup project aims to establish a reliable and efficient network system within the mechanic shop premises. By deploying modern networking equipment and ensuring proper installation, this project endeavors to enhance the shop's operational efficiency and security.
The existing network infrastructure in the mechanic shop lacks organization and fails to meet the growing demands of the business. The absence of a centralized network rack and outdated equipment leads to connectivity issues and compromises on security surveillance. This project addresses these challenges by implementing a structured network setup and upgrading essential components.
The project involves building and installing a network rack to the right of the entrance, as per the provided layout. Key equipment including the UDM Pro, Switch, Patch Panels, NVR, and UPS will be installed. Existing network cables will be relocated to the new Main Distribution Frame (MDF) rack. Additionally, configurations such as setting up a camera VLAN, adopting the switch, configuring the NVR, and assigning static IPs to cameras will be performed. The goal is to ensure seamless connectivity and efficient management of network resources.

Network Testing Tools
The project began with the installation of the network rack, followed by the deployment of the specified equipment. Challenges were encountered during cable rerouting and equipment setup, which were mitigated through careful planning and troubleshooting. Configuration steps included setting up VLANs, adopting devices to the network controller, and ensuring proper IP assignment. The installation process adhered to industry standards and best practices to ensure reliability and performance.
Thorough testing was conducted to verify the functionality and connectivity of the network infrastructure. Network testing tools were utilized to validate cable terminations and assess network performance. Quality assurance checks were performed at each stage of the implementation process to guarantee seamless operation.
Upon completion of the project, the mechanic shop now boasts a robust and organized network infrastructure. All specified equipment is installed, configured, and fully functional. The network cables to camera and access point locations are properly terminated and tested. The system is documented, and the customer has been guided through operating the network and accessing surveillance cameras.
Potential future enhancements may include integrating additional security features such as intrusion detection systems or expanding the network to accommodate future growth. Upgrades to equipment or software may also be considered to keep pace with evolving technology standards.
The Mechanic Shop Network Infrastructure Setup project has successfully transformed the shop's network environment, addressing existing challenges and paving the way for enhanced efficiency and security. Through meticulous planning, implementation, and testing, the project has achieved its goals, leaving the mechanic shop well-equipped for its operational needs.
