In 2020 when a larger county in Michigan reached out about phone service, we were certainly interested in helping them out. They said they had over 2000 phones and were looking for a new phone service to support that many phones. We said, no problem! We are partners with just about every phone and internet service provider in the country, not to mention in Michigan, so we started talking to all of our phone service partners. We settled on working with RingCentral on the deal. They worked with us to come up with a 91 page response to the county's RFP. After around 6 months of back and forth, we came to a final agreement and closed on the agreement.
We ended up with:
- Nearly 2000 phone lines/ users on the RingCentral platform and growing
- Over 1200 desk phones
- Porting hundreds of phone numbers from various providers to RingCentral
- Replaced aging on premise phone systems at over 30 locations with modern, hosted, geo redundant solutions
- Our professional services team walked the County IT and users/ employees through the install and implementation over a 6 month period
- Adding tons of new features and integrations that were never possible on their old legacy systems
- Significantly improved function and efficiency of county employees
